WTF! Why would I want to buy your fourteen year old vehicle if it has new breaks. I don't want new breaks. I might be happy to buy it with new brakes though.
Why do so many idiots write breaks instead of brakes. One is a bad thing for your vehicle and the other stops it.
Craigslist hurts my brain. Rant over.

Did Manuel make the transmission? He does a good job.

Camero.

He makes the transmissions for almost every motorcycle I've ever seen. It seems like he gets around more than John Mayer.

Well, the breaks might also stop your vehicle, depending on what's broken.

Kawasaki makes replica bikes? That's Triumph's domain. Still $5,500 is crack pipe territory for that underpowered 1973 putt-putt machine.

Also, that bike isn't quite a cafe racer. It's close, and a great starting point for one, but I think it's just slightly off the mark as it sits now.
I do want to build a cafe racer though...

How not cafe racer now? I've always thought the best CRs were the old Japanese and BMWs that had racing bars and solo saddles and other bolt-on stuff.

I agree, not cafe racer with a double seat, for starters. But then I really hate the CR style, so...

If anything CRs and naked bikes have grown on my
immensely
in the past 15 years. I would never buy a bike with fairing, unless it was a cowl or small top fairing etc.
It's something about the statement of not putting plasticky racing stuff on your bike, like "yeah, it's fun, I'm in the open air, I can still go fast if I want, but I'm not so pretentious as to think that fairing makes me look cool or adds any real substance or advantage to my riding." Plus you don't look like a bro if you're just riding down to the store for something. Nobody on a cafe racer style bike is going to wear a Joe Rocket jacket and have a helmet with neon chinguses splashed across it.

The double seat and the rear fender are what kill the look for me. They both extend too far, which kind of screws with the aggressive styling I tend to associate with cafe racers.
Here's an excellent example of what I think a quintessential cafe racer W650 would look like.
And here's an example of what I think is more reasonable to expect from the average owner/builder.
I still am not a huge fan of the fenders on the 2nd one, but I think it has much more of the cafe racer look than the one in the ad.

I like naked bikes, just not the silly CR styles.
"Plus you don't look like a bro if you're just riding down to the store for something."
No? It's basically the fifties/sixties equivalent of a brodozer rolling coal, in my book. The cafe racers were a bunch of obnoxious antisocial arseholes - street racers, don't forget.
I'd never heard of Joe Rocket before, but that looks like exactly the kind of thing I'd expect to see a 60-something accountant riding a CR to the Ace Cafe whilst wearing.
Even these days you still get dicks riding way too fast to/from the Ace Cafe, so thanks to them we have speed cameras on a bit of road which otherwise wouldn't need any.

Man those fat tires are nice. That top bike I would go $5,500 for.

If they didn't have new breaks, then they wouldn't have time for Manuel transmissions.
Manuel is the guy they take breaks with. And the transmissions are primarily audio.

I agree... it's more of a Latte racer.

Maybe it's a modification to get slow moving pedestrians out of the way?

I've been looking for one of those for a long time; i hear it is an awesome car. Every time I find one advertised it ends up having Camaro badges instead. It's a unicorn; I'm not sure what makes a Camero better than a Camaro, but I'm sure it has more horsepower.
